DIY Homemade Bath Bomb for Stress Relief

After a long and exhausting day, you just want to sink into the warm bathtub and wash away all the dirt and pressure. Bathing just does not clean the body, but it also helps to restore the mind. In an era where everyone on this planet is living a stressful life, there must be a routine that helps relax the body. Taking a bath, especially a long bath, will show that you relax after a stressful day and improve your happiness-life.

There are different ways to make these long baths more relaxing than normal, and one of the method is to use bath bombs. You can use these small bombs to improve your bathing experience, and you will find yourself more relaxed than before.

Aromatherapy Bath Bomb

Ingredients

  • 6 tsp of jojoba oil
  • 1 tbsp of Cornstarch
  • 3 tsp of baking powder
  • 2 tbsp of citric acid
  • 1 tsp of Vitamin E Oil
  • Food Coloring (optional)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of Sea Salt
  • 3/4 tsp of lavender essential oil or you can use any of the oil blends mentioned above

Directions

  • Take a glass bowl and wash it with a damp cloth. After the bowl dries, add jojoba oil and lavender oil to the bowl.

  • Mix the oil and transfer it to the vial.
  • Cover the vial with a sealing plug and leave it for one day to ensure that the oil is mixed.
  • Store the vial in a cool and dark place. Shake the vial every few hours to ensure that the oil mixes well. Add the remaining ingredients to the bowl together with the mixed oil and stir the ingredients until a smooth mixture is obtained.
  • Scoop the mixture into mold and pat it into ball shape. Let the bath bombs dry overnight.
  • Store the bomb in a cool and dark place, avoid from direct sunlight.
  • Insert a bomb into the bathtub and inhale the smell of oil.

Good Night Sleep Bath Bomb

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce bees wax, grated
  • 3 tsp of coconut oil
  • 6 tsp of liquid jojoba oil, infused
  • 5 tsp of lavender buds
  • 5 tsp of chamomile flowers
  • 8 tsp of distilled water, heated
  • 1 tbsp of Cornstarch
  • 3 tsp of baking powder
  • 2 tbsp of citric acid
  • 1 tsp of Vitamin E Oil
  • Food Coloring (any color you may want)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp of chamomile essential oil
  • 1/4 tsp of lavender essential oil

Directions

  • Prepare a clean glass bowl. Put the chamomile flowers and the lavender buds into it.
  • Pour the jojoba oil to the bowl and cover the bowl. Leave it aside for 3 hours.
  • You will need to strain the mixture and save the final product in a clean glass vial. Shake the vial every few hours to make sure that the oils blend well together.
  • Add the remaining ingredients to a bowl along with the blended oils and whisk the ingredients till you obtain a smooth mixture.

  • Scoop the mixture into mold and pat it into ball shape. Leave the bath bombs to dry overnight.

  • Store the bombs in a jar in a cool and dark place. Avoid from direct sunlight.
  • Pop this bomb into the bath right before you go to bed. You will sleep well.

 

Relaxing Inhalation Blend

Ingredients

  • 8 cups of boiling water
  • 1 tbsp of Cornstarch
  • 3 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of Vitamin E Oil
  • 2 tbsp of citric acid
  • Witch Hazel (optional)
  • Food Coloring (any color you may want)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of Sea Salt
  • 1/4 tsp of Peppermint oil
  • 1/4 tsp of Eucalyptus oil
  • 1/4 tsp of Rosemary oil

Method

  • Prepare a clean glass bottle, and add the peppermint oil into it.
  • Add the rosemary oil and the eucalyptus oil to the bottle and mix them well together.
  • Add the remaining ingredients to a bowl along with the blended oils. Whisk the ingredients till you obtain a smooth mixture.
  • Scoop the mixture into mold and pat it into ball shape. Leave the balls to dry overnight.

  • Store the bombs in a jar in a cool and dark place. Avoid from the direct sunlight.
  • Pop one in the bath and relax your body. Inhale the vapor that is released. You will be able to relax yourself and also be able to rid yourself of stress.
