Everyone can make a bath bomb easily at home using only some raw materials. The most common ingredients are baking soda, cornstarch and citric acid. Only these three things, you will be surprised how simple it is yet full of fun. A beginner should start with a normal and simple bath bomb before making a more complicated bath bomb. Once you know the basic know-how, then you can create more complex bath bombs by adding flowers, colors, and essential oils to your bath bombs for a more luxurious bath experience.

Bath Bombs

White Tea and Coconut Bath Bomb

Coconut oil is really good for your skin and it will leave its pleasant scent on your skin after bathing. The calming aroma of white tea helps relieve stress and provides anti-inflammatory properties for your skin.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • 1-2 cups citric acid
  • 1-2 cups corn starch
  • 2 tbsp Epsom Salt
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 10 drops of white tea essential oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare a clean large glass bowl. Add in baking soda, citric acid, corn starch and salt and mix them well.
  2. Now add coconut oil to the mixture and stir it.
  3. Slowly add the essential oil and stir quickly with a wooden spoon.
  4. Scoop the mixture and press it firmly into the mold. Allow drying overnight.
  5. Transfer the bombs into a jar and place it at a cold place to avoid sunlight.

 

Honey Lemon Bath Bomb

  • 0.5 cup dried peppermint
  • 1 tablespoon almond oil
  • 10 drops rosemary essential oil
  • 10 drops peppermint essential oil

 

Instructions

  1. Prepare a clean large glass bowl. Add the baking soda, citric acid and corn starch and stir thoroughly.
  2. Add almond oil and stir well. You should stir until the mixture looks moisten.
  3. Add the essential oils and stir until well mixed.
  4. Place the dried rosemary and dried peppermint at the bottom of your mold halves and put the mixture on top to fully fill the molds. Press firmly.
  5. Set aside to dry 4-24 hours.
  6. Unmold and transfer the bombs into a jar and place it at a cold place to avoid sunlight.

 

Jasmine Bath Bomb

Ingredients

  • 2 cup Baking Soda
  • 2 cup Citric Acid
  • 1 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Sunflower Oil
  • 10 Drops Jasmine Essential Oil
  • 1/4 cup Dried Jasmine

Instructions

  1. Prepare a clean large glass bowl. Add the baking soda, citric acid and corn starch and stir thoroughly.
  2. Add the sunflower oil and stir well. You should stir until the mixture looks moisten.
  3. Slowly add essential oil and stir well until the mixture clump together.
  4. Place the dried jasmine at the bottom of the mold halves and top with the mixture until full. Press firmly.
  5. Set aside to dry overnight.
  6. Unmold and transfer the bombs into a jar and place it at a cold place to avoid sunlight.
